Developing their electronics skills students will manufacture a USB powered colour changing LED mood light and use plastics moulding and CNC to create the external packaging.
In this project, pupils will be building upon their electronic skills learnt from year 7. They will populate and solder different electrical components onto a small PCB.
Pupils will also have to produce a design for their mood light on CAD software and use the laser cutter to manufacture their ideas. Also in this project, you shall be using the vacuum former to create a casing for your circuit to go into.
